Recycled content?
Prove it.

PPWR, DPP, supply chain data: bring your compliance data foundation to audit level in two days.

Plux the robot connecting data across a supply chain network

The starting point

Why this workshop?

Three realities in the packaging industry in 2026.

PPWR is closer
than most think.

The first compliance stages hit in 2027. Many manufacturers today have neither a documented data model nor a verifiable procedure for their recycled content quotas.

No verifiable quota,
no shelf space.

Large retail chains are pushing the compliance risk onto manufacturers. Anyone who cannot deliver verifiable data in 2027 will be delisted.

DPP is not just an obligation —
it is a brand lever.

Those who set up the Digital Product Passport cleanly and early can use it as a differentiator rather than just a compliance burden.

PPWR compliance stages

What becomes mandatory, and when.

Three milestones that are already creating planning pressure for PET packaging manufacturers.

  1. 2027

    First PPWR compliance stage

Minimum recycled content quotas per packaging type. Recyclability must be verifiably documented.

  2. 2028

Tighter quotas & first DPP requirements

Higher recycled content quotas. Initial obligations to deliver a Digital Product Passport apply to selected product categories.

  3. 2030

    Full DPP obligation

DPP requirement for all packaging in the EU market. Anyone without an established data model by then is building under pressure.

As of 2026. PPWR detail rules will continue to be specified up to the first compliance stage.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do we need to take PPWR seriously if we only sell in DACH?

Yes. PPWR is an EU regulation with direct effect. Anyone placing packaging on the market in DACH (Germany, Austria, or — beyond Switzerland — into the EU market) is affected.

How is this workshop different from a pure compliance consultancy?

We build a concrete DPP data model and an implementation roadmap — not compliance slides. At the end of the workshop you have a view you can commission a pilot project on.

Do we need a data model before the workshop?

No. We start with what you have — usually a mix of ERP, PIM, and Excel. The DPP data model emerges during the workshop.

Who from our team should attend?

Mandatory: compliance/sustainability, product management, IT. Recommended: procurement (for supplier data) and a sales lead who knows the customer requirements. 6 to 10 people.

What happens after the workshop?

You receive the report and DPP blueprint within 2 weeks. Then a 30-minute follow-up call. If you want, we start directly with a Pimcore pilot — if not, you continue with the roadmap, internally or externally.

Is our supplier data safe?

We sign an NDA, all workshop materials stay with you, and the report is delivered encrypted. No data leaves your premises.

Does the workshop make sense if we do not yet have PIM/MDM?

Yes. The workshop addresses data model and processes — not the tool. Which platform fits best emerges from the findings. If a PIM/MDM build is needed, we build it in the pilot.

What does the follow-on implementation cost?

A DPP pilot with Pimcore typically runs at 40–80 person-days for one product family. Scaling afterward in fixed-price phases. Concrete numbers come from your workshop result.
